Prior to the final, in the ITV betting stakes, Angie had been favourite
to win with odds reduced to 5/2. Elvis Presley joined the other 9
performers just a day before the show was broadcast having been voted as
the best overall runner up by the voting public and did give a very good
performance as Elvis Presley on the night, easily beating all of the other
competitors.
But to have got to the final, Angie had to beat 40,000 other
hopefuls.
Angie, that is a great achievement. I am sure everyone in Wivenhoe, as
well as all your many friends who have heard you play the organ so
wonderfully well, and sing so beautifully, believe you are already a Star. Keep on being yourself,
enthusiastic and unaffected by fame. These are endearing qualities.
Congratulations on doing so very well in this competition.
