ANGIE'S Christmas Music Show - 4th December, 2004

Angie's now regular Christmas Music Show took place in Wivenhoe's William Loveless Hall on Saturday evening, 4th December, 2004 with a capacity audience.

A three-hour programme of entertainment was introduced throughout by Angie's mum, Julia, with other members of the Diggens family providing support for Angie in different ways.

The programme included two sessions by the University of Essex Jazz Band who played a selection of songs brilliantly as well as joining with Angie for a final number.

Long standing friend of Angie, Karen Emms contributed a solo and a duet with Angie. Karen will be on the Wm Loveless Hall stage again in January as the principal girl in Wivenhoe's pantomime, King Arthur and his knights of the Round Table.

The star of the show was undoubtedly Angie who played so competently on her big Yamaha EL900m electronic organ, her electric piano and sang so delightfully. Currently studying for a National Diploma in Music at Colchester Institute, Angie seems destined for London's West End stage.

She certainly wowed her audience with her musical talent, as she has since first appearing on the Wivenhoe stage five years ago. And she is now only 17!  She performs regularly in concerts around the country, gaining a fine reputation for her skill in playing the organ and singing.

Last summer she was contacted by Granada Television and she has just completed filming for the next series of 'Stars in their Eyes'. Angie's parents believe Angie's big night will be Saturday 26th February 2005.
