Angie DiggensNovember 2003 - Angie Diggens raises £335 for Children in Need

From playing her Yamaha Electric Organ and singing in High Chelmer Shopping Centre in Chelmsford for an hour at lunchtime on Tuesday 18th November, Angie raised £215. This was topped up by £20 from Allegro shop in Chelmsford, £20 from a Yamaha Electone Launch, from friends at her church and at Colchester Stagecoach, and other friends and family, bringing the total sum raised to £335.10.

Angie presented her cheque to Stuart White at the television at the BBC's Forum TV studio in Norwich on Friday 21st November.

Next year Angie intends to do this again, but for longer, so she "can raise lots more dosh!"

Note: Apparently the BBC rung up on the Monday evening and had a camera allocated to come and video Angie, but she was told if anything major pops up, then the camera will need to go. President Bush pinched her camera!
