| 6th December, 2003 - Angie's Christmas Concert
The Wm Loveless Hall was full of people who had come to hear Angie
Diggens play and sing in her Christmas concert on Saturday 6th December
and they were not disappointed. Angie gave a wonderfully polished
and professional performance, and given that she has yet to reach her 17th
birthday, shows what a remarkable young lady she is.
That won't come as surprise to the many people there as many were
members of her growing fan club. Indeed, some had come from as far away as
Dover and Hemel Hempstead, as well as nearer as Clacton and Brightlingsea.
The Show also featured special guests the University of Essex Jazz Band
whose 15 members treated the audience to half a dozen items in both the
first and send halves which had everybody tapping along. They were all
brilliant and great fun to watch, making a superb contrast to the delicacy
of Angie's voice and pieces played on the organ, piano and guitar.
Angie played a wide variety of pieces on her Electone organ which she
seemed to really enjoy playing and from which she is able achieve a
remarkable range of sounds and effects. Complementing the organ, she
showed off the range of her talent with pieces on her electric piano as
well as playing her guitar, performing a piece she had written and
composed herself. For more information about Angie, click here

for her own web site. Her next concert in Wivenhoe will be Saturday 3rd
July 2004.
