The Holocaust Concert at St Mary's Church. Violinist Kelly
Jones is to hold an evening of music following the violinist's
research into the musicians who were forced to play whilst being
held prisoners in the Nazi concentration camps of World War Two. The
programme is to include Bach’s famous ‘Double Violin
Concerto’, Bloch’s ‘Nigun’ (No.II from Baal Shem), Arvo
Part’s ‘Spiegel im Spiegal’ and the ever popular Mozart’s
‘Quartet in C’ (‘Dissonance’), which will be performed by
the talented Scintillo String Quartet. Tickets are priced at £6 and
£4. Available from the Wivenhoe Bookshop. Alternatively, tickets
may be purchased on the evening although it is recommended that you
