Saturday 20th August, 2005  - Wivenhoe celebrates the 60th Anniversary of the end of WWII.
Wivenhoe celebrated the 60th anniversary of the end of the second World War with a Tea Dance in the William Loveless Hall in the afternoon of Saturday 20th August. This was followed by a Dance in the evening with a Fish and Chip Supper and music by 17 members of the Locarno Big Band.

Left: Mayor's Charity Fund Committee members Toni Stinson, Hilary Allerton, Carol Green, Margaret Davies and Betsy Edwards who not just organised the two events but provided a drill performance to entertain people in the afternoon and the evening.
