A Skateboard Park in Wivenhoe?

On Saturday, 6th November 2004, Wivenhoe residents had the chance to see what a skateboard park would look like as part of a major public consultation exercise by Wivenhoe Town Council into whether such a park should be built.

Residents are asked to express their views about the following possible locations: KGV playing fields (two locations), Lower Lodge open space (two locations), public open space opposite Millfields School; Henrietta Close.

Possible locations:

a)  Henrietta Close (above)
b)  Lower Lodge (top right)
c)  Far side KGV Playing Field, close to trees
d)  KGV - dog walking area (bottom right)
e)  Public open space opp. Millfields School
                                           (bottom)

Note:  It is expected from researches already conducted by the Council that the skateboard park would be smaller than the play area on KGV playing fields.
