October 2006 - Boardwalk construction in Wivenhoe Woods

Help the Wivenhoe Woods Working Party construct a boardwalk at the Lower Lodge Farm section of the Woods on Sunday 8th October.

This is an area at the bottom of the seepage line, that is, at the bottom of the line of Willow Trees where it gets very wet and muddy in winter. We will also be clearing some vegetation from a small pond next to the Wivenhoe Trail.

If you would like to help, please meet at the Rosabelle Avenue car park at 10.00am. We will will finish at approximately 3.30pm. Alternatively, call down and see us at some point during the day.

Full training will be given, and tools and materials will be supplied.

Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring a packed lunch, and wear sturdy footwear.

For further information, please contact Richard Moulson on Col 853588 or Cllr Frances Richards on 825516.
