October 2008 - An invitation from the Wivenhoe Town Plan Group

Hello there!

You are invited to the launch of the Wivenhoe Town Plan at the William Loveless Hall on Saturday 25th October from 10am to 1pm with the official launch and speeches taking place at 10.30am. (remember that long questionnaire you may have filled in a couple of years ago.. well, finally, here are the results and the proposed 'actions'!)

It will be an informal drop-in cafe style event giving residents and community groups the chance to look at copies of the plan & discuss the issues around the tables with tea and biscuits!

It is also a chance to find out more about how you could get involved in helping to make some of the proposed actions happen... if you wanted to! Such as setting up car-share clubs, a bike users group, a 'carbon reduction' group, a community development trust, a residents speed watch group, a traders association and loads more fun stuff! Maybe you've already got the know-how/skills about some of these things, if so please come and advise us or join in!

We will be inviting representatives from a range of agencies and organisations named in the Town Plan's 'action plan' to attend the event so we hope there'll be a chance to talk with them.

You can download the plan (click here for a pdf copy) or see a copy at the Town Council office or the Library.

Please pass this email on to friends, family and contacts you think might be interested, thank you!

If you want to talk to us about the project or get involved please contact Jo on 01206 827649

We hope to see you on the 25th October!

Jo Wheatley, Wivenhoe Town Plan Group
