How does the Town Plan relate to the Local Development Framework (LDF)?
Planning
is divided into two sections: Spatial Planning and Community Planning.
The diagram below shows the links between them at the local or town
level.
“Community Planning” is principally concerned with the delivery
of services and provision of facilities whilst “Spatial Planning” is
principally concerned with land use, development and design - although
there are many links and overlaps between the two.
The Town Plan is the first step and the Village Design Statement will follow. |
