Wivenhoe's
Annual Service of Remembrance
-
Sunday 14th November, 2004
Come and join with the Town Mayor, Cllr Peter Hill, Town and Ward
Councillors at Wivenhoe's Annual Service of Remembrance organised by the
Royal British Legion Wivenhoe Branch.
Do you think we could all make an effort to turn out for this special
service, not just to remember the lives and the ultimate sacrifice paid by
Wivenhoe people in the conflicts of the last century, so that they will
not be forgotten, but to reflect also upon the continuing tragedy of war
in so many places of the world today.
Can we say, and show, that the people of Wivenhoe really do care by
turning out for this Service.
Hopefully, one day, this will become a day when we will be able to
celebrate peace in the world.
A great many of Wivenhoe’s young people will be standing around the
War Memorial following their Act of Remembrance that has been taking place
in the Wm Loveless Hall now for the past several years. During their
own Service in the Wm Loveless Hall, they will be expressing their
thoughts about war and their hopes for peace. See picture below.

Members of the Royal British Legion will be very pleased to see you,
this year in the Congregational Church at 2.30pm, Sunday, 14th November,
2004, and afterwards around the War Memorial.
