25 January 2008 - Brook Street and East Street Road Closure

THE ESSEX COUNTY COUNCIL ( BROOK STREET AND EAST STREET , WIVENHOE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily closing the following lengths of road in Wivenhoe in the Borough of Colchester:

Brook Street

From its junction with Alma Street and East Street to its junction with St John’s Road

 

East Street

From its junction with High Street to its junction with Alma Street and Brook Street

The closures are scheduled to start on 18 February 2008 , for approximately 5 weeks, where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce to facilitate telecom connection work.

An alternative route is available via High Street, Belle Vue Road, Park Road, Queens Road and Anglesea Road and vice versa. 

Access to property will be maintained during the closures.

The Order will come into effect on 18 February 2008 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
