| When our Town Clerk, Toni Stinson, went to the
National Conference of the Society of Local Council Clerks a little while ago, she
came back with a giant toadstool and it is now 'planted' in the
sandpit in the KGV play area. This is part of some refurbishment and improvement work being
undertaken by the Town Council's General Amenities Working Party,
chaired by Cllr Sally Glozier-Green.
Repairs will be made to the blockwork surrounding the sandpit and
'safa-matting' fixed around the top. The sand will be refreshed and
thanks to Taylor Woodrow the old sand will be removed.
