26th March 2006 - Changes to the William Loveless Hall in June

The familiar front of the William Loveless Hall is going to be changed, brought out a few feet to allow space inside for a toilet for the disabled. At the same time, the Town Council's William Loveless Working Party members have also planned to update the kitchen at the same time. Good news I am sure for all our users.

The men's toilet will also be improved, and not before time. Sorry that the gents had to wait so long - the ladies' toilet was repainted some time ago - but it has taken a while to obtain the necessary grant to make a really good job of it.

Building work starts on 26th June 2006 for approximately four weeks. We are sorry users will be inconvenienced. It has been difficult to find free weeks in a Hall that is used so much.

A large part of the funding for this work has come as a grant from Colchester Borough Council's Parish Grant Scheme. The remainder is money the Town Council has been deliberately saving each year towards these improvements.

Cllr Penny Kraft
Chairman, WTC William Loveless Hall Working Party
