AVERTISEMENT
for:  Receptionist / Administrative Assistant

To be offered as a Job Share of approximately 17.5 hours per week each (from 25th April 2005)

Hours:  Mornings - 9am until 12.30pm and afternoons, 1.00pm until 4pm (or an alternative arrangement by mutual agreement)

Salary:  £11,616 p.a. - pro rata (NJC Scale 10)

Reporting to: Town Clerk, Wivenhoe Town Council

Key Functions:

§       To run the Front Office Reception, dealing with enquiries from visitors to the Council Offices, or by telephone.

§     To manage the bookings of the Wm Loveless Hall, community mini-bus and other facilities as required.

§     General office administrative duties involving filing, photocopying, banking, typing and post (in and out).

Key skills required: 

§        Personable; able to deal confidently with the general public either face to face or on the telephone, and with the ability to deal with difficult situations firmly or with sensitivity, as necessary.

§    Experienced in office practice and competent especially in use of a personal computer (MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook)

§    Ability to perform within a small team environment.
