Could you be interested in becoming a Wivenhoe Town Councillor?

We have a vacancy following the resignation of Margaret Davies.

Check out the Council pages in this web site - Click  here   for information about what Wivenhoe Town Council does. Look at minutes of our meetings to see what sort of things we are involved in. This will give you an idea of the responsibilities of being a Wivenhoe Town Councillor.

Being a Councillor is an opportunity to help make a difference to the quality of life here for all Wivenhoe residents.

If you are interested, then write to the Town Clerk, Council Offices, High Street, Wivenhoe CO7 9AB to say you are interested in being considered, why you think you would like to become a Councillor, and giving some details about yourself. You need to do this by Monday 18th July, 2005.

You don't need any special qualifications to be a local Councillor, just have an interest in doing things for the good of Wivenhoe and a willingness to commit up to several hours each week.
