CHUMS Summer Sports, an Activity Programme for Children

What is CHUMS Summer Sports ?

C.H.U.M.S is an activity club for children aged between 8 and 14 years old.

 

Where is the course run?

The sports club is run at the University of Essex Sports Centre, Wivenhoe Park.

 

When are the courses run?

SUMMER : Monday 5th August to Friday 30th August (not including the Bank Holiday Monday 26th August). Each day will start at 9.30am and will finish at 3.30pm. Please note children will need to bring a packed lunch.

 

What Activities are on offer?

A variety of activities will be offered each day for example Unihoc, Trampolining, Climbing, Basketball, Stoll ball, Football, Dodge Ball and much much more. The University has an indoor climbing wall and a qualified instructor will tutor the children in the art of climbing (normally offered on specific days only). Please note some of the activities will be outside, therefore sun protection as well as wet weather gear is advisable.

Special rate available for 2nd & 3rd child within the same family. All prices are for weekly bookings only and all places are subject to availability. Please note, all places are subject to availability and the University sports centre reserve the right to cancel any of the activities or dates advertised.

The prices for the Bank Holiday week have been reduced to take account of the Bank Holiday.
