Just an update on the news on Wivenhoe Youth Theatre, I am pleased to confirm that WYT won awards from the North East Essex Theatre Guild:

 -  Best Production for "Bed" for directors Emily Taylor-Smith, Hannah Saxon and Leanne Nagle

-   Best Young Actress for B Svistunenko (not for Marjorie in "Bed" - she had 2 nominations and was awarded for another role she played with Headgate Theatre, Colchester ).

-   Best Young Actor for Robbie Taylor-Hunt for Couple Man in "Bed "  

Sheila Foster added: "The award for the directors of the best production was a new award in Jimmy James’s honour. Jimmy was always a great supporter of young theatre-makers, and also occasionally directed for the Wivenhoe Players. He was a prominent figure in the North East Essex Theatre Guild.  We are particularly delighted, and think that Jimmy would have been too, that this award went to our talented young directors."  

Wivenhoe Pantomime Group also won a few nominations.
