Wivenhoe Youth Theatre's 2004 Summer Production

This year Wivenhoe Youth Theatre has taken up the challenge of Federico Garcia Lorca's 'Blood Wedding', a serious drama about a couple drawn irresistibly together in the face of an arranged marriage and social conventions.

Isabel Evans, and Sam Belcher are debuting as the directors, with a willing team of stage thirsty thespians, and stagehands behind them.

The young people themselves do the show preparation, from props to costume design, staging to lighting, and all within a very tight budget. The fruits of this year's fortnight of hard work will be ready for display from Thursday 26th of August, through to Saturday 28th of August, and the whole theatre experience will be done with a Spanish theme.

Tickets are available from Wivenhoe Book Shop, Londis, and Red Lion Books Colchester, priced £5 (£4), and the show begins at 7:30pm at the Phillip Road Centre Wivenhoe.
