Fundraising for Whizz-Kidz
by Dave Harrison

Dave Harrison, President for the Wivenhoe Society will be undertaking a journey to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.  This is a sponsored trek taking place from 13th and 22nd October 2007.  It’s all in aid of Whizz-Kidz.

Whizz-Kidz is a registered charity that provides motorised wheelchairs for children across the United Kingdom.  These children, who would otherwise be stuck at home, can then get involved in wider community activities.  For more about Whizz-Kidz click here

Dave will be paying his own way on this intrepid journey so all funds raised will go directly to the charity. However, he needs to raise in excess of £3,000 and this is where you come in.  A variety of activities, including a sponsored walk, are being organised.

If you would like to sponsor Dave, please get in touch with Dave Harrison or Dilly Meyer for a sponsor form - see contact details below.

Would you consider helping with a fund-raising event for this worthwhile cause?

Please contact either Dave Harrison, 88 Heath Road, Wivenhoe, CO7 9PX tel: 01206 827250 or e-mail Dilly Meyer (ref: Kilimanjaro) -

‘Remember every penny given will go directly towards changing a child’s life.’
