Wivenhoe Watercolour Challenge 2004

To our local (and visiting) artists.

Why not come along on the 11th September 2004 and take up the 5th Wivenhoe Watercolour Challenge and make a painting of our attractive and historic Colneside village in 4 hours from 12 30 -4 30 pm?

Interested, then turn up at St. Mary's Church at 12 noon, and enter the Challenge (£1 fee). The Challenge is open to all amateur artists. Entries will be judged at 4 30 pm by local artist Bill Heslop.

Prizes are donated and presented by Trinity Galleries, Colchester. The winning picture will be framed by Cutting Corners of Wivenhoe.

Artists may exhibit up to 3 paintings in the Church for sale during the afternoon (20% of sale price to Friends of St. Mary's Church).

Children may also enter their own challenge (50p entry) from 2pm-4pm. Please bring own materials (colour/black & white, A4 maximum).

There are lots of activities taking place during the Weekend, come along and watch the artists' progress and enjoy afternoon tea and view the paintings in our historic Church. FOSM's Wivenhoe Designs will be on sale.
