Wivenhoe Watercolour Challenge 2004 To our local (and visiting) artists. Why not come along on the 11th September 2004 and take up the 5th Wivenhoe Watercolour Challenge and make a painting of our attractive and historic Colneside village in 4 hours from 12 30 -4 30 pm? Interested, then turn up at St. Mary's Church at 12 noon, and enter the Challenge (£1 fee). The Challenge is open to all amateur artists. Entries will be judged at 4 30 pm by local artist Bill Heslop. Prizes are donated and presented by Trinity Galleries, Colchester. The winning picture will be framed by Cutting Corners of Wivenhoe. Artists may exhibit up to 3 paintings in the Church for sale during the afternoon (20% of sale price to Friends of St. Mary's Church). Children may also enter their own challenge (50p entry) from 2pm-4pm. Please bring own materials (colour/black & white, A4 maximum). There are lots of activities taking place during the Weekend, come along and watch the artists' progress and enjoy afternoon tea and view the paintings in our historic Church.
