WATERCOLOUR CHALLENGE Twenty-one artists, including two young artists, entered the Friends of St Mary's Wivenhoe Watercolour Challenge last Saturday. Paintings were done of scenes in the lower village including the quay, woods and river. Judge, Bill Heslop, awarded 1st prize to Jean Frost of Wivenhoe, 2nd to Ron Pardy of Tiptree and 3rd to Anita Bellenie of Clacton. Mr Gordon Levett of Trinity Galleries, Colchester, donated the prizes. The winning picture was framed by Cutting Corners of Wivenhoe. Click here for Watercolour Challenge home page |
