| October 2007 - Quay Quilters
Exhibition in the William Loveless Hall
If you went to the William Loveless Hall on either Saturday 13th
October or Sunday 14th October, you will have had a great treat as the 65
members of Quay Quilters displayed their talents. The Hall was filled to
over-flowing with quilts, wall-hangings, cushions, and other needle-craft
work. A large number of people did indeed go to this exhibition, and
no doubt were amazed at what they saw. Including amongst those who visited
the show was Wivenhoe Town Mayor, Cllr David Purdey, who was thoroughly
impressed and said so at the Town Council meeting the following Monday.
The pictures below really do not do
the exhibition justice. Many congratulations to Jane Brooks who leads this
thriving group and to everyone who worked hard to put another great show,
as well as to all those people who had items on display.
