| News from the Wivenhoe Over 60's
club - Spring 2005
We held our
Annual General Meeting on Friday 14th January, 2005. The
Chairman, Doug Stockwell, thanked all those who had contributed to a
successful year particularly the Officers and Committee. The election of
Officers and Committee for the ensuing year was as follows:- Chairman
Doug Stockwell The meeting was
followed with tea and biscuits and games of Bingo. We had our first lunch
at the William Loveless Hall on February 18th, organised by
Jean Gale and Margaret Bucke. This comprised of fish and chips, fruit salad
and ice cream and a glass of wine. After the meal, a very interesting talk
and slide show about old Wivenhoe was given by local historian, Don Smith. Our first outing 16th
March is a return visit to Lt Easton WI for afternoon tea, preceded by a
tour around North West Essex. We have seats available if any one wishes to
join us, we leave Wivenhoe at 1pm. Please book with Denise Smith 823308 Our next lunch in the
