February 2008 - Wivenhoe Open Gardens

Wivenhoe Open Gardens – 21 and 22 June 2008.
2 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Twenty five gardeners have very kindly agreed to open their gardens to the public this year.  Some who have opened many times before, others who are opening for the first time, and also different sizes and types of gardens.  Plants and teas will be available at several venues.

The event is again being organised jointly between St Mary’s Church and the Wivenhoe Society, and the proceeds will be divided between the two organisations. The Wivenhoe Society will be donating their share to the Wivenhoe Christmas Lights Fund and the Wivenhoe Ferry Trust.

Nearer the date, programmes will be available from the Spar Shop at The Cross, Rollo's Estate Agents and Bryans Newsagents - £3 if purchased before the event and £3.50 from any of the gardens on the two days.

PLEASE NOTE:  Peter Kerr has kindly agreed to run a quiz on the first Monday in April (7th) at the Football Club, as a contribution to the running expenses.   Why not bring a team along….teams of up to 6 people at £1 per person.
