Wivenhoe News
has an editorial team of 7:
Peter Kennedy (Editor), Tom Roberts
(Editor), Pip Scott (Design), Jane Cole (Distribution), Jane Valentine
(Portfolio Editor), Jane Hughes (Diary of events & Information page), Jax
Thomas (Advertisements),
Wivenhoe News
is published quarterly in March (spring issue), June (summer issue),
September (autumn issue) and December (winter issue) by the Friends of St
Mary’s. It contains 40 pages of local news and business advertisements.
There are items written by those involved with the news, such as the town
and borough councillors, county councillor and local MP. There is a mix of
articles, for example: news from local societies and organisations, reviews
of local drama and music events, news from the countryside ranger at the
local nature reserve, travel features, police reports and sport. The
regular features include nature notes from Richard Allen, and news from the
Wivenhoe Bookshop. 700 copies are printed by The University of Essex
Printing Services.
In the middle pages there is a diary
of the town’s forthcoming events.
Letters to the Editor are always
welcome, as are articles and news items.
WivenhoeNews
is delivered to FOSM members free of charge. It is also available at
outlets in the town: Co-op, Bryans Newsagents, High Street Post Office, and
the Wivenhoe Bookshop, at £1 per copy.
