Could you be interested in doing something worthwhile?

Like working with young people?


Each Unit is run by a qualified Leader, one or more qualified Assistants and various Unit Helpers.

The objective is to help youngsters gain experience, values, friends and a sense of achievement from learning new skills.
 
Through various Scouting and Guiding activities, young people are encouraged:
- to become more self-reliant, dependable and responsible
- to show initiative and leadership qualities
- to cope with emergencies
- to be aware of the needs of others and be prepared to help those less fortunate than themselves
- to think about the environment

We are always looking for people who can spare a little or as much time as you can afford to help achieve an exciting programme of activity with these youngsters. 

No particular skills are necessary, only some common sense and a willingness to work with youngsters.

And what will you get out of it? Hopefully a lot of fun, satisfaction, new friends and the reward of seeing youngsters doing things they might not otherwise get a chance to do.
