The Wivenhoe Branch of the Royal British Legion have published Remembrance arrangements in Wivenhoe for Sunday 10th November, 2002.

At 2.30 pm, the Legion's Service will be held in the Congregational Church, conducted by Pastor Patrick Baxter and the Rev David Thomas.

Also at 2.30pm, the Young People's Act of Remembrance will take place in the William Loveless Hall.

Anyone wishing to attend either the Church Service or the Young People's Act of Remembrance will be most welcome.

At 3.22pm, a parade will form outside the Congregational Church which will proceed to the War Memorial, led by the band of the Colchester Sea Scouts, and followed by all the young people in the William Loveless Hall.

At 3.30pm, a Roll of Honour will be read at the War Memorial, followed by the 'Last Post'. The Exhortation will be said by Mr Les Punshon, President of Wivenhoe RBL, followed by a minute's silence.

Wreaths will then be laid by all the organisations present.

Afterwards, the President, Chairman and members of the Wivenhoe Branch Royal British Legion invite all participants, family and friends to their HQ for a hot drink and a chat.
