WIVENHOE WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

Hello!  We would like to introduce ourselves as a busy, happy group of women who live in the Wivenhoe area.  We meet at the William Loveless Hall in the village, usually on the first Tuesday of the month, at 7.30pm, and average about 50 members per meeting. 

Our forthcoming programme in 2007 is:  

3rd April - Boxes, Bags and Bows given by Mrs J. Field

1st May - From Granny’s Attic given by Mrs S. Lang

5th June - My Life as a Couturier given by Mr B. Piccolo

3rd July - The Optimists Entertain given by Mrs M. Clubb and friends

7th August - Evening Outing – usually involving food!

4th September - Health and Fitness   given by Mrs S. Shyjka

2nd October - Annual General Meeting

6th November - Essex Air Ambulance

4th December - Something Different given by Mr C. Christensen

The WI has a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.
