February 2006 - Tickets for Wivenhoe Gilbert & Sullivan's Iolanthe go on sale

Fairyland comes to Wivenhoe!  The Wivenhoe Gilbert & Sullivan Society’s annual production will be that magical tale of Iolanthe.

In front of a colourful set, the moving but humorous story will be unfolded by an enthusiastic cast of fairies (with their Fairy Queen) and Peers of the Realm (including the Lord Chancellor) This show contains some memorable musical numbers not least the famous Nightmare song.

Directed by Mary Williamson, music direction by Hilary Brunning and accompanied by the well-known John Wolton, an entertaining performance is promised.

All this can be seen at 7.30pm at the William Loveless Hall with shows on Tuesday 14th through to Saturday, 18th March. Tickets are available at the two Wivenhoe Post Offices and are priced at £5 and £7.
