Trade in the 19th Century.
The course overviews the
coastal trade into and out of Essex ports in the nineteenth century
and examines the role of the different types of sailing craft found
on the Essex coast. It includes an examination of the numbers and
types of vessels owned at the ports of registery, Maldon, Colchester
and Harwich.
