Saturday, 10th September, 2005 - WAGA's Annual Show 

Filling the William Loveless Hall were tables displaying all types of vegetables and flowers, cacti, cakes and jams making this year's Show another impressive one. Chairman David Darlington and his large team of volunteers can again be proud of themselves. A huge amount of work goes into putting on the Show, with many trophies to be won.

It was a busy Saturday in Wivenhoe with FOSM's Watercolour Challenge also taking place, the Wivenhoe Society's Fun Day and the Sailing Club's Open Day giving people the opportunity to go out for a sail.

Peter and Pat Overton were pleased to find that Pat's orchid she has nurtured since April last year, giving it nothing but rainwater, had won not just 1st prize in its class but the Roy Leeder plate too.
