The Wivenhoe Encyclopedia

On the Saturday of Holy Week, March 22^nd the Parish Church of St. Mary-the-Virgin is holding a Gift Day from 11.00am.- 4.00pm. This is an opportunity for anyone to make a contribution towards the running costs of this beautiful and active church. 

During the day the Flower-Arranging team will be decorating the church in readiness for Easter Day – an Easter Garden will be prepared – on display will be large mobiles, models of angels and works by local artist Annie Bieliecka, including an Altar Frontal and Falls made for St. Mary’s last year. 

From 12noon – 2.00pm. there will be poetry readings and guitar music. Savoury Scones/Tea/Coffee will be served during the mid-way interval. 

Tea/Coffee and Biscuits will be available throughout the day.
