FRIENDS OF ESSEX CHURCHES SPONSORED RIDE & STRIDE - SATURDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER 2006 Walk or cycle round Essex churches to raise money for
your church or chapel and the Friends of Essex Churches. Friends of Essex Churches makes grants to historic
churches and chapels of all Christian denominations towards repair and
restoration costs. Last year the Friends made grants of nearly £150,000 to
churches and chapels in Essex and East London. Riders and walkers are invited to find sponsors who will
pay for each church/chapel visited on Saturday 9th September 2006 between
10am and 6pm . The money raised by each participant will be shared equally
between the FEC and the church or chapel nominated by the participant.
This is taking place across the country so you can cross into
Suffolk, or take part when on holiday elsewhere.
