| 1st February, 2003 - The Annual Quiz at St Mary's Church,
now in its fifth year, will see 16 teams competing for the special trophy,
once again especially created and donated by Susannah Bradley. Around 100 people will be in the Church on Saturday 8th April from 7pm ready to find answers to questions set by organiser, Bonnie Hill and delivered by Quiz Master Cllr Peter Hill. Food will be provided half way way through the evening by other members of the Church fund-raising team for all those taking part. Rivalries between quiz teams Eastern Sages and The Men's Group, and a potentially strong entry this year from the Town Council, led by Town Mayor, Cllr David Craze are likely to add a touch of excitement to this eagerly anticipated occasion, now firmly established in the Wivenhoe calendar. Among the other teams competing are several Wivenhoe organisations as well as a team from Colchester Rape Crisis Line whom the Church Fund Raising Committee has also been pleased to welcome as a participant in its June and December Markets.
