The Queen's Jubilee Youth Trust for Wivenhoe

The Queen's Jubilee Youth Trust for Wivenhoe was established in December 2001 in order to benefit the development of local young people and youth activities in Wivenhoe.

The Trust is particularly aimed at situations where no other sources of funding is available or appropriate. The Trust aims to benefit individuals, groups and established organisations and it will do its utmost to remain open, flexible and as sympathetic as possible to people's needs.

The Trust will comprise a network of people in the community - young and not so young - who will identify and advise on worthy causes, be they in relation to a disadvantaged individual, a group of youngsters with a worthwhile project or one of our Youth organisations requiring help for a special project.

The inspiration for the Trust arose from the occasion of the Queen's Golden Jubilee, in 2002 - a time for local as well as National celebration and, we hope, of generosity to make a real difference to the lives of some of our young people.
