Sat 12th October 2002 - In the Wivenhoe Centre, in front of many of the dancers from Colne Bank School of Dancing, Jenny Overton, Principal of the School, presented cheques for £1,128 to both the Engine Shed Project and St Helena Hospice.

The money was raised by the Dance School's recent Charity Gala 'Let's Dance' at the University.  The two shows were extremely well supported by large audiences in the afternoon and the evening.

Jenny Overton paid tribute to the many local businesses which had supported the raffles as well as the University which had reduced its fee for hiring the Lakeside Theatre in order to support the two causes being supported.
