1st December 2008 - Support for new Woodland at Elmstead wanted 
 
The  Woodland Trust is planning to create a new wood in Essex, at Elmstead Market, and is a currently bidding for £50k of lottery money  towards the costs of acquiring the land.  The lottery money will be allocated to the project receiving the largest number of phone votes today. 
 
If you support the project, please phone today to the number below.  You can phone up to 10 times on one phone number and the calls will cost a maximum of 10p each.  Please also spread the word.

You may be interested to know that the Woodland Trust has extended the deadline for pledges of money until January 2009 - they need around £2m to buy the 250 acres of land and plant the wood.  You can pledge on line onwww.woodlandtrust.org.uk/elmstead
