The Woodland Trust is planning to create a new wood in Essex, at
Elmstead Market, and is a currently bidding for £50k of lottery
money towards the costs of acquiring the land. The lottery money
will be allocated to the project receiving the largest number of
phone votes today.

the deadline for pledges of money until January 2009 - they need
