The Wivenhoe Encyclopedia

The Vice-Chancellor Ivor Crewe and the Wivenhoe Town Mayor, Cllr Tom Roberts, hosted a Town and Gown Formal Dinner at Wivenhoe House on Friday 18 November, which they hope will become an annual tradition organised in alternate years by the Wivenhoe Town Mayor and the Vice-Chancellor.  

The aim is to forge closer links between the University and the town and to establish a scholarship fund for local students.  

Tickets were £35.00 and available by invitation, but if you wanted to attend, there was no reason why couldn't ask for an invitation! And many people did.
