The Wivenhoe Encyclopedia

Tuesday 25th June, 2002 -  Pam Glover and James Lillywhite were both chosen from Wivenhoe to take the Commonwealth Games baton on separate Colchester sections on its journey to Manchester. This was a very special honour for them, especially having been chosen from the thousands who had applied.
Pam Glover was also celebrating her 50th birthday on Tuesday. Despite cerebral palsy, Pam is always active and cheerful. She is Secretary of the Wivenhoe Congregational Church, works for the Colchester Museums Access Group and recently obtained a degree.    Pam Glover

James is 11 and in his last few weeks at Millfields School, Wivenhoe.

James plays scrum half in a Colchester rugby team, is a keen campaigner for the  environment and a member of 1st Wivenhoe Scouts.
