| April 2005 - Lexden Restorations sells Cook's Shipyard
to Taylor Woodrow
On 21st April, Wivenhoe Town Council was advised by Jonathan Frank that he had reluctantly decided to sell Cook's Shipyard to Taylor Woodrow. This ends months of speculation that the slowness in the way matters were progressing could lead to this eventuality. In his note to the Town Council, Jonathan Frank said "I am confident that Taylor Woodrow will develop the scheme largely in accordance with our plans and with their size and backup I am sure they will not be frustrated in the way that I have been".
