On Tuesday 3rd April 2007, Wivenhoe Town Council was notified by Mary Price, Technician, Essex County Council, Highways & Transportation, East Area Office, of the following:

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(2)

          Temporary Closure of The Folly, Wivenhoe

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that from the date specified below, the Essex County Council has temporarily closed to all traffic under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, The Folly, Wivenhoe for its entire length. The closure is scheduled to start on 23 April 2007 for 5 days to facilitate re-surfacing and re-construction works.

An alternative route is available via Bethany Street, Black Buoy Hill, Brook Street and St John’s Road. If this route is not available during the planned road works in Brook Street, please follow the signed diversion route for Brook Street traffic.

Access to property will be maintained during the closure.
