December 2006 - East Street & Brook Street each closed 5 days in January

Wivenhoe Town Council has received notice that East Street and Brook Street will each be closed for 5 days in January. East Street from 8th January, and Brook Street from 11th January 2007.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(2)

Temporary Closure of East Street, Wivenhoe 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that from the date specified below, the Essex County Council has temporarily closed to all traffic under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, East Street, Wivenhoe from a point in line with “The Corner House” west for a distance of 20 metres. The closure is scheduled to start on 8 January 2007 for 5 days, weather permitting, and is required to enable road works to be undertaken.

An alternative route is available via High Street and Alma Street, or High Street and Anchor Hill for access to the Quay.

Access to property will be maintained during the closure.

Temporary Closure of Brook Street, Wivenhoe

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that from the date specified below, the Essex County Council has temporarily closed to all traffic under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, Brook Street, Wivenhoe between No.2 Brook Street and No.5 Brook Street, a distance of approximately 20 metres. The closure is scheduled to start on 11 January 2007 for 5 days and is required to enable road and footway works to be undertaken.

An alternative route is available via High Street, Queen’s Road and Anglesea Road.

Access to property will be maintained during the closure.
