| March 2007 - PC Neil Gibson joins
Wivenhoe's Neighbourhood Policing Team
Neil has been a Police Officer for nearly 6 years. He worked initially at Colchester Police station where he was a response officer covering the whole of the Colchester area. He then moved to Ipswich Road Police station where he worked as part of the Community Policing Team covering the north of the town. In January 2006, the first Neighbourhood Policing
Team was implemented in St Andrews and St Annes, and Neil was chosen to be
part of that team. At the beginning of March 2007 Neil joined the
Wivenhoe NPT. Neil works from Wivenhoe Police Station which covers
both Wivenhoe Town and the University of Essex. Along with PC Wendy
Byrne and PCSO Louise Neville his role involves dealing with and reducing
crime, nuisance and disorder. Neil is also heavily involved in
identifying local issues and tackling them. One priority of his is

Neil Gibson is our new Community Police Officer, replacing PC Steve May
who retired in January. He joins PC Wendy Byrne and PCSO Louise Neville
who, together comprise Wivenhoe's Neighbourhood Police Team.
