What is Shiatsu?

Shiatsu is a Japanese healing system that has been used for centuries to gain relief from many common health complaints.  Using the same meridian system and theory base as acupuncturists, instead of using needles the shiatsu practitioner uses hands, fingers and sometimes foot pressure to correct malfunctions and distortions in the body’s energetic system.   As well as stimulating the body’s innate healing mechanisms, Shiatsu is also an excellent aid for relaxation and is a powerful antidote to the stresses and strains of modern-day living.

What is CCR?

Many musculoskeletal problems, including back, neck and shoulder pain, arise from distortions in soft tissue.  These distortions can be caused by stress & trauma, both physical and emotional.  CCR (Central Channel Release) is powerfully effective because it works to release distortions in soft tissue inside the spinal column, thereby creating relief from many resulting symptoms such as referred back, shoulder, neck and knee pain for example.

Can Shiatsu & CCR Help me?
