Jovan
Djordjevic artist and international illustrator presents a selection
of fine print digital images, salvaged from paper-board packaging
and procured over a period of a year.
A personal investigation and selection collected from diverse
sources: images out of sight, yet a significant part of today’s
massive visual throw away culture.
Printed
ephemera depicting the registration of visual imagery and
typographic iconography, seldom observed, yet essential in today’s
world of mass commercial printing.
Information graphics, hidden marks, symbols and colour
swatches swathe the surfaces of structural package designs.
Consumers
react to package shapes almost immediately and are frequently
influenced by their design and shapes when making buying decisions,
yet seldom do they scrutinise beneath the surface of these
receptacles, to observe the often hidden visual clues of a curious
world of colour and mechanical precision printed symbols, without
which these items could not be practically produced.
