The Smallest Gallery In Europe)The Wivenhoe Bookshop’s delightfully small and successful Over The Sofa Gallery continues to attract top professional artists. The 2006/7 programme of exhibitions is, as usual, diverse and exciting. Everard Longland, whose work will be showing during the month of June, has always painted in watercolour, which, he says,”… can be bold, bright, illuminating and free of constraint. It takes over the brush, goes it’s own way and frees itself to form a myriad of patterns and shapes as if by magic – almost dispensing with the artist, but not quite.” His exhibition shows the medium’s possibilities, and will be showing from 1st – 30th June at the Wivenhoe Bookshop, 23 High Street, Wivenhoe.
