Meriel Ensom

Meriel paints birds, fish, shells and boats on driftwood and any old bits of wood she can find. You can see some examples of her work on this page.

She says she has been particularly inspired by the birds such as avocets and curlews she sees on the tidal mudflats on the River Colne, close to where she lives in Wivenhoe.

Recently, she has been doing work with a countryside theme, including pheasants, partridges and chickens.

Meriel exhibits at various local galleries, exhibitions and craft markets. She will also undertake commissions if asked.
