- Pru Green and Elly
Robinson are filling the whole ground floor of Pru Green's
intriguing house with an Aladdin's
What's more, five of these excellent artists live and work in Wivenhoe.
Not only Pru Green, but painter, printmaker and publisher James
Dodds whose new series of superb linocuts from "Longshore
Drift" will be on show; Meriel Ensom
who paints beautiful birds and fish on driftwood; Nel
Moy who makes captivating hats; as well as enchanting glass
work, including jewellery, from Robina Jack.
Robina's sister, Susie Wilson, will be
showing her fabulous cushions, bags and aprons; there'll also be charming
textile jewellery from Alison Englefield
and beaded jewellery by Caroline Munnings,
all illuminated by "Divine Light" lanterns by Angela
Wallbank. As well as James Dodds and Penny Bhadresa's linocuts, the walls will be adorned with the exquisite etchings of Elizabeth Morris, lovely hand coloured wood engravings by Yvonne Skargon, saucy ceramic "Cuddles" ceramics by Daphne Sandham and the jewel-like oils of Jos Wickham. Open: Saturdays & Sundays 11am to 5pm from Saturday 26th November until 17th December. Thursdays and Fridays 2pm until 5pm. Exhibition continues until Saturday, 17th December.
