The view of Wivenhoe looking from the upstream side. In the foreground is the former shipyard which became a timber importers in the 1960's and 70's. Then taken over by Wivenhoe Port Ltd and used for the importation of coal, soya and fertilisers until 1989 when operations ceased. These two photos show the dismantling of the warehouses and was taken about 1992.
